Its about meeting Christs people wherever or whoever they are, whatevers going on in their lives. Its about reaching out to those who feel they are on the fringes of society, showing individuals that they are loved (by us and by God) and extending Christs unconditional love and welcome to them. In the midst of chaotic and broken lives, Ignite-D aims to provide a safe place to meet each other, to question, to explore and to heal.

  • ·         At least the first 20-30 mins of each service will be fellowship with food

One in four people struggle with a mental health issue, including people in our congregations. It’s important that we understand how to create a supportive environment as so many find it difficult to be open about their mental health with their church family for a variety of reasons.

Join author Dawn Holmes, as she tells the story behind releasing Freed from Shame, a new publication which addresses the stigma of mental illness in the church. Freed from Shame explores what mental health is, includes suggestions on how to support those struggling, and contains real-life stories from Christians who have various mental health issues.

During the workshop, Dawn will discuss some of the issues in the book, and share her passion to see the church become a place where people are freed from shame. The session will also include some video clips, and interactive discussion on mental illness in the church.
