Mental  Health Awareness for the Churches

Working together in partnership to support mental health

Jesus said 'Love one another as I have loved you.'

Saturday 3rd February 9.30am -1p.m. at theLighthouseChurch, Canterbury Road, Hawkinge. Mainly for church leaders, counsellors, those involved in pastoral care or experienced with the mentally ill.

  • We have booked a very experienced speaker, Jonathan Clark who is the Director for Premier Lifeline: the National Christian Helpline and formerly a Director with the mind with Mind and Soul. He will present mental health issues from a Christian perspective.
  •  A representative from the NHS will inform us about how to liase with them and support people with mental health issues.
  •  Policies for safe-guarding, support contacts, local developments and other topics will be discussed.

Teas and coffees will be provided free but there will be a cost of £5 per person to cover expenses for the session. Payment on the door or by cheque payable to theLighthouseChurch, Hawkinge. Please feel free to bring a packed lunch and stay afterwards for further discussion.
